The city of Antwerp hired Hybrid (an agency with whom we’ve collaborated on numerous projects) to create a portal to act as a booking platform for its tourism services. A place where visitors could book guided tours, browse upcoming activities and events and plan their visit accordingly. We were tasked with the design of this project, so we started by studying the brand guide and the preliminary wireframes in detail. The brand was bold and fun, two characteristics that we felt should be carried over to the design. Taking cue from the strong lines in the ‘A’ of the logo icon, we introduced diagonal shapes, playing with color and symmetry to create visual rhythm. The result is a light hearted interface that feels seamless accross every section, like every holiday should be!
