Mantovani is a building materials and interior design company based in Lisbon, Portugal. For the redesign of their website they were looking for mobile compatibility and a stronger focus on product environment shots.

One of the constraints we had going into this project was having to synchronize the product catalogue with the company’s internal management software. Nevertheless, we were able to use WordPress to power the website’s content management system (CMS).

Lessons Learned

  1. Reduce the chain as much as possible: this project was brokered by an agency and some client fatigue developed overtime from the long communication chain;
  2. Updating a website is hard work. A balance must be found between the amount of information users need to make purchase decisions and the amount of content you, the publisher, are willing to produce and publish. Too little, and you risk loosing communication.
